Created to align with Global Biotech Week, celebrated in jurisdictions worldwide, Life Sciences Week presents a series of events and awareness-raising efforts to highlight the importance, achievements, and diversity of Alberta’s life sciences sector.

In September 2023, we celebrated the inaugural Life Sciences Week in Alberta to demonstrate the deep and wide-ranging impact of the sector and build momentum.
With more than 20 events and activations from around the province, and over 1000 attendees, the week served as testament to the province’s accomplishments in life sciences and amplified the industry as a key driver in Alberta’s economic and social development.
