Rural Technology Incubator Program

The Rural Technology Incubator Program is meant to bring your rural business a boost with fundamental frameworks for entrepreneurship and current trends in technology related tools.

Through helpful learning and supports, entrepreneurs who have a business idea or current business that is looking to explore more technology and innovation in their operation can join in this program to gain more knowledge and access some 1:1 business advisory to help apply concepts.

The incubator program includes a mix of presentations and resources to work through, as well as speakers and guidance from business advisors about using and applying new technology. The content and sessions are set out to be a catalyst for your use of emerging technology trends to build your competitiveness in the market as well as your skills and familiarity with technology concepts.

Each week there will be a 2-hour evening session that will help with your learning and development. You will also be asked to complete a 30-minute reflection assignment each week to apply concepts.

Every 1-2 weeks, you will be able to meet for 1-hour with your Tecconnect Business Advisor to review and progress through the program milestone completion challenges. These are the items you complete each week (so the advisors can go over with you at your check-ins).

Total Commitment for the Rural Technology Incubator Program:
• approx. 2.5 hours/week for 10 weeks and a 1:1 advisor appointment every 1-2 weeks (5-10 appointments)

The 2-hour evening sessions will be on Tuesday’s from 6pm to 8pm and run from October 12, 2021 through December 14, 2021.

Enrollment Requirements:
• To enroll, you must complete a client intake to join the Tecconnect Entrepreneur Program
• Both the Tecconnect Entrepreneur Program and the Rural Technology Incubator Program (RTIP) are FREE TO JOIN!
o The difference in programs is that the RTIP program has reflection assignments and is a focused 10-week program
