Proposal Writing Workshop

This workshop will explore the components of a quality proposal, the language to use & proven methods for compiling successful proposals.

All businesses engage in the development of proposals. You may be thinking, but my business won’t be applying for government funds, so how does this workshop apply to me? Consider that there are many types of business proposals – business plans, supplier agreements, CRA payment proposals, and the list goes on.

Proposals can be challenging to write. During this workshop, we will explore the components of a quality proposal, the language to use, proven methods for compiling the proposal and using a proposal canvas as a planning tool.

We will also look at the needs of the proposal recipient (i.e. government, banks, etc.). Your proposal may be your only opportunity to gain their support or approval, so it needs to be clear, comprehensive, and relevant.

From pursuing private or public funds, to building business relationships, proposal writing is a task that all entrepreneurs need to master.

Meet Your Presenter: Judy McMillan-Evans

Judy is a community developer, project manager, adult educator, and entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience leading business development projects and developing the capacity of business and non-profit managers. In this realm, Judy also advises business owners, non-profit boards and management teams on all aspects of organizational strategies and efficiencies.

Along with consulting and facilitating, Judy instructs and develops courses for Mount Royal University (MRU), Bow Valley College (BVC), Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and Community Futures.
