Intro to Website Design & SEO

This workshop will provide women entrepreneurs with an overview of how to build a website & the basics of search engine optimization.

Meet Your Presenters:

Dan Hoyme

Dan Hoyme is more than an IT professional; he is skilled at simply figuring things out. This experience comes from several year of Information Technology Systems Analysis and Science experience in large company settings.

Dan also has degree, diploma & certificates from many different colleges and universities in Alberta. Dan found his way to WESTEM through his wife who opened a small business, and both were shocked at the cost of web page design, so Dan figured web page design out for his wife business.

Shohreh Roshani

Shohreh (Shoren) Roshani, is the CEO of an engineering company, Ursa Environment Inc., and is a civil/ environmental professional engineer as well as a WESTEM business advisor.

Throughout her career she has been involved in various environmental projects within Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

She has a great understanding of barriers that can prevent immigrant entrepreneurs from growing their business and is passionate about sharing resources and information to overcome these barriers.
