Ongoing technological advancements have forced all businesses, regardless of their size, to constantly look for avenues to improve the ways they do business and communicate with customers. At the same time, the ability to innovate, develop and/or incorporate new digital solutions and services is now a priority for many businesses.

What technological solutions do you use in your business? Is there a technology you are interested in, but hesitate to explore?

The WESTEM 7-part ‘Intro to Tech Certificate Program’ certificate series focuses on current and future technologies. This series will provide participants with an overview of various aspects of technology use such as various software tools, digital marketing, augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, data and blockchain.

Participants who attend ALL sessions will receive an ‘Intro to Tech’ certificate to commemorate their completion of the program.

WEBINARS

1. Demystifying Technology

Demystifying Technology will help women entrepreneurs learn how technology can help them grow & expand their business. It will help women entrepreneurs overcome some of the barriers and obstacles related to entrepreneurial technology and innovation that they may face.

2. Intro to Website Design & SEO

This workshop will provide women entrepreneurs with an overview of how to build a website & the basics of search engine optimization.

3. Intro to Digital Marketing

This workshop will discuss how to get started in the world of online advertising.

4. Intro to AR/VR

This workshop will introduce the topics of virtual and augmented reality by introducing the technology, the industry, and applicable, real-world use cases.

5. Tools of the Tech (2 Parts)

An intro to computers & software tools as used by developers.

6. Intro to AI

Everyone talks about AI, but what is it exactly? Are there different types of AI? Is it going to change the world overnight? This workshop will enable participants to learn the basics of AI and how it can benefit a small business.

7. Intro to Data and Blockchain

In this workshop we’ll explore the basics of the who, what, when, where and how of data, big data and the types of insights that can be derived from a data strategy.

You are more than welcome to participate in any of the workshops after the initial start date. However, please note that only participants who attended ALL workshops will receive a certificate.
