Access to financial capital is the number one barrier facing women entrepreneurs. In Canada, over 70% of women-led businesses start their companies with less than $5,000.
Most banks and investors don’t come into the picture until a later stage. At the same time, knowing if you should invest in your own company is a big decision. How do you validate your idea? In this session we explore why women are choosing crowdfunding and why crowdfunding is the only avenue where women are outperforming men when raising funds.
