Indian Resource Council (IRC) was founded in 1987 by Chiefs representing the Oil and Gas Industry. IRC is a nonprofit organization and has over 200 First Nations members across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. What does IRC do?

  • Training and Certification programs
  • Support Nations when dealing with IOGC/AER/GoA
  • Provide information about Land Assets: wells, pipelines, facilities, mapping, status/inventories, royalties, etc.
  • Facilitate direct communication with energy companies, field contractors, certified vendors etc.
  • Site rehabilitation program and administrative support
  • Establish direct communication with Nation leadership and community members always available to answer questions and discuss options
